Mena is the co founder of UK based Blak Wave Productions. She is passionate about telling stories that centre black women, queer folks and sport themed narratives. When working creatively Mena's work is produced under the her name SOMINA.

A beautiful exploration of UK carnival culture, from the lens of black women and told through dance, music and mas costume. Filmed in Lockdown part of Culture in Quarantine for BBC Arts and Arts Council England.
